Contact

One person reads this inbox, so plain email works better than a form. Bugs, formats that would not open, and missing size presets are all worth sending.

hello@phototokb.com

There is no contact form here on purpose. A form needs a server to receive it, and this site does not have one — which is the same reason your photos are never uploaded.

What to put in the email

Something broke

Name the browser and device, which tool you were using, and what you asked it for — the KB limit, the pixel size, the output format. That is usually enough to reproduce it.

A file would not open

Tell me the format and where it came from: an iPhone HEIC, a scanner TIFF, a JPEG XL. Several formats only decode in Safari on iPhone and Mac, and the message you saw names the one that stopped you.

A form rejected your photo

Send the exact wording of the requirement — “JPG, 20–50 KB, 200 × 230 px” and so on. Wording from real portals is what the next size preset gets built from.

A conversion is missing

The converter has a page per pair, and the list is short on purpose. If the pair you need is not there, say which one and what you are uploading it to.

Please do not email me your photo

I cannot see the images you open in these tools and I would rather keep it that way. If a specific file fails, describe it — rough file size, pixel dimensions and format — instead of attaching it. Anything you email me does sit on a mail server, which the photos you compress, resize or convert here never do. The privacy policy explains why.

Before you write: the answer may be on the page

Every tool has an information panel underneath it covering the questions that come up most, and how it works describes what each step is meant to do. Two of the commonest reports are not bugs: a transparent PNG turns white when the output is a JPG, because JPG has no transparency, and an animated GIF or WebP comes back as a single frame, because a still image is a still image.

Response time

This is a side project, so replies come in evenings and at weekends rather than within an hour. Reports that break a tool outright jump the queue. There is no ticket system, no chatbot and no support tier — one address, one person reading it.
